JIGGY GEORGE, FOUNDER AND CEO
An MBA with over 20+ years of work experience, Jiggy is a pioneer of the licensing industry in India.
Set up and successfully ran the licensing business for Viacom and Turner Broadcasting.
Left corporate as the Executive Director at Cartoon Network Enterprises and was responsible for making it the leader in India’s licensing arena.
Successfully ran the Turner Theatrical Team and the Sesame Street India Production team.
Has experience that ranges from sales, marketing and business development to project management.

Jiggy George is the Founder of Dream Theatre and a pioneer in the business of licensing & merchandising in India.

Jiggy set up and successfully ran the licensing business at Viacom (MTV) and later at Turner (Cartoon Network Enterprises).In 2009, he founded Dream Theatre Pvt Ltd: India’s first professionally run Licensing & Brand Management enterprise. Over time, the Dream Theatre Group’s model has evolved from pure representation to the creation of their own brands and merchandise.
Prior to his entrepreneurial venture, Jiggy has worked in the corporate field for over 17 years. In his last avatar, he was the Executive Director of Cartoon Network Enterprises, South Asia, and was responsible for making it the leader in the licensing arena in India. He also headed the Turner Theatrical Business and the Sesame Street India Production.

He started his career as a fashion designer with Zodiac apparel and after obtaining a Master’s Degree in Management Studies, he gained significant experience in sales (Times of India), marketing (MTV and Pogo), licensing (MTV, Turner), and project management (Turner and Sesame Street production).

Jiggy believes in living life without boundaries. He wrote for five years as an entertainment journalist and has a script for an animation film under his belt. He is an avid movie buff and a music lover who plays the guitar. He enjoys travel, is fascinated by art, and loves understanding cultures by meeting new people across the globe.

An MBA with over 19 years of work experience in the fields of sales, marketing and licensing, across industries.
Worked for the Taj Group and Cartoon Network, as Associate Director, Licensing for India and South Asia.
Instrumental in captaining the launches of Beyblade, Ben 10, Bakugan and Angry Birds in India.
At Dream Theatre, he makes sure that all the processes are running smoothly and that the products delivered are of the highest quality.
After completing his MBA, Jibi George embarked on a journey that has left him with over 19 years of work experience in the fields of sales, marketing and licensing across industries, while working with stalwarts like the Taj Group and Cartoon Network. He eventually grew to head the licensing and merchandising business as the Associate Director, Licensing for India and South Asia at Cartoon network.Passionate about business, he takes charge of the nuts and bolts at Dream Theatre, making sure that all the processes are run smoothly and according to his exacting standards, contributing to Dream Theatre’s reputation of delivering the highest quality products. He has been instrumental in captaining the launches of Beyblade, Ben 10, Bakugan and Angry Birds in India.

Jibi is an avid football fan and tries to catch every EPL match he can. While he is a hardcore supporter of Manchester United, he is also an ardent fan of Real Madrid. One of his prized possessions is an autographed Real Madrid jersey which hangs in his cabin.

SUSMITA SINGH DEO, CO-FOUNDER  & GENERAL MANAGER
An MBA with over 19 years of experience in Business Development and Licensing.
Previously worked in the Business Development team at the Times of India
Regarded as a pioneer of the Promotional Licensing business in India.
Worked for Turner in India and South Asia, while overseeing the publishing, home video and Sesame Street licensing businesses.
Now drives marketing and communication strategies, while overseeing client servicing and the promotional licensing businesses.
If you’ve ever grabbed a pack of juice or a candy bar, and seen Tom and Jerry’s beloved faces looking back at you, you have Susmita to thank for it. An MBA with over 19 years of experience in Business Development and Licensing, she has worked in the Business Development team at the Times of India.

She saw an emerging business opportunity and is in it for the long haul, which is why today, she is regarded as a pioneer of the Promotional Licensing business in India. She took charge of this business for Turner in India and South Asia with great success, while simultaneously overseeing the publishing, home video and Sesame Street licensing businesses.

At Dream Theatre, while her visiting card says ‘General Manager’, she continues to multitask effortlessly, driving all the marketing and communication strategies, she also oversees client servicing and the promotional licensing businesses.

Susmita is passionate about books, food and travel. In her free time, she moonlights as a part-time philosopher, and is currently quite an authority on the Bhagvad Gita! She is also quite the foodie and is our in-house guide to all that’s new and funky!

MARVIN FERNANDES, CO-FOUNDER & HEAD STRATEGY, CAPITAL, RECRUITMENT

Chartered accountant and Sloan Fellow at the London Business School

Creator of India’s 1st licensed animation character – Chhota Birbal

Sole licensing rep for Pokémon in India (2004-05).

Funded and ran several ventures including an online cricket world cup site (1999), a B2B office stationery e-commerce website, and a digital BSE-NSE arbitrage platform.

Ran a state legislature election campaign on the platform of kindness

Designed India’s first permanent/ sovereign fund to safeguard intergenerational equity.

 

Marvin is a Chartered Accountant and began his career with Arthur Andersen in 1994, he switched track to become an entrepreneur in 1999. He has headed and managed several successful ventures in including an online cricket world cup site (1999), a B2B office stationery E-commerce website, and a digital BSE-NSE arbitrage platform. He was the first licensing representative for Pokemon in India in 2004-05. Marvin created India’s first licensed animation character, Chotta Birbal, designed India’s first permanent sovereign to safeguard intergeneration equity, and also ran a state legislature election campaign on the platform of kindness.

Marvin has been a Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge, Senior Scholar at the London School of Economics, and a Sloan Fellow at the London Business School. He has worked as a Reinhard Mohn Fellow (entrepreneur in residence) at RTL Disney, Random House, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investment Fund, FremantleMedia, Wolff Olins (London 2012), Eight Inc (Apple stores) in cities such as New York, Cologne, London, Mumbai, and Dubai.
