Our Story

I had a Dream !

I have always dreamed of starting a company, and the desire burned deep within me.

By 2009,

The noise in my head grew louder, fueled by the joyful news of my first child's birth and the frustration of dealing with an unreasonable boss in Hong Kong.

You may say I am a Dreamer but I am not the only one

In a moment reminiscent of "Jerry McGuire", my team surprised me by saying they wanted to join me on this crazy journey.

We forged ahead into the unknown, armed with nothing but hope and determination. I realized that sometimes, you only need a team of dreamers to turn a vision into reality.

Since 2010!

Our journey began with Dream Theatre in 2010, we chose a name that reflected our dreams and aspirations for both ourselves and our future clients

Mocha Mojo - "The Unofficial Office"

We started our “Office” at a quaint Café in Bandra, Mumbai called Mocha Mojo. We showed up daily, ordered our cappuccinos, fired up our computers and brainstormed ideas.

Coffee shop to an apartment block

We went from a cosy little coffee shop to a small apartment.

We made progress

We attracted some iconic businesses like Pokémon, and FIFA and trending businesses like Angry Birds, and WWE.

Fast forward 14 years

Lots of lessons learnt and mistakes made and we're still here, living the dream.

At Dream Theatre, we're all about "Dreaming for a living". We want to be the stage where our clients, team, and customers can see their wildest dreams come to life.

But here's the real secret to our journey: our people. We've got the most passionate, dedicated team around, and we make sure to create a fun, supportive environment where they can thrive. Because at the end of the day, it's our team that makes all the magic happen.

Pioneers in IP game: the core team has 25+ years of experience across brands, retail relationships and market-making.

Prior to founding Dream Theatre, Jiggy held senior management positions at Turner Broadcasting/Warner Media and Viacom , where he established the Brand licensing business for both companies. He began his career as a fashion designer and later worked as an entertainment journalist with a host of publications.

With a degree in Management, Jiggy gained valuable experience in sales (Times of India), marketing (MTV and Pogo), brand licensing (MTV, Cartoon Network, Warner Bros.), and project management (Turner and Sesame Street production).

At Dream Theatre, Jiggy oversees all relationships with brand owners and partners. He is a dedicated marketer who enjoys building teams and fostering a positive company culture.

Jiggy believes in living life without limits and has even written a script for an animation film. In his free time, he indulges in his passion for movies, fitness and music, playing the guitar and exploring new destinations.

FOUNDER & CEO

Jibi embarked on his professional journey in the hospitality industry post his MBA, where he honed his skills at the renowned Taj Group. Transitioning from there, he joined marketing and soon took on the role of Associate Director at Turner Broadcasting / Warner Media, spearheading the licensing and merchandising division.

A trailblazer at heart, Jibi co-founded Dream Theatre, where he played a pivotal role in developing the licensed apparel and non-apparel distribution business. His love for sports, particularly football, has not only influenced his leadership style but also led to the establishment of the sports vertical at Dream Theatre.

With a meticulous eye for detail and a strong belief in execution, Jibi has been instrumental in crafting new business models, driving sales strategies and building strong partnerships.

Jibi's passion for sports reflect in his achievements and the enduring connections he has fostered along his career.

CO-FOUNDER & COO

Susmita is a seasoned professional with a strong passion for creative content and brand licensing. Armed with a background in business education, she kickstarted her career at Times of India before delving into the world of brands and licensing at Turner Broadcasting / Warner Media. Her time there saw her playing a pivotal role in spearheading the Promotional Licensing business in India, as well as overseeing Publishing and Sesame Street licensing program.

A dynamic leader, Susmita is committed to driving success in every project she takes on. At Dream Theatre, she serves as the driving force behind content creation, distribution, client servicing, and Promotional Licensing, tirelessly working towards achieving sales and marketing objectives for various brands.

When she's not immersed in her professional endeavors, Susmita can often be found satisfying her love for books, animated content, and exploring the cultural influences of food.
